It’s different for everyone.
Self care doesn’t have to be spa days or vacations.
It doesn’t have to cost money, or be lavish plans.

Self care is individualized and personal.
Your job is to find what that looks like for you.

Where do you laugh most, breathe easiest, forget about your problems?

The most important thing about self care is letting go of your tasks, fears, anxieties, and being present in the moment.
That’s when the mind is most still and able to recharge.

I’m lucky to have a partner that pushes me to find moments of self care everyday.
Because it’s not just about the big events or moments. It’s the little moments everyday that keep you connected to yourself and your happiness 🥰

As the holidays come upon us, I’d like to send a little intention ✨

When you think back to high school… what stands

When you think back to high school… what stands out in your mind?

For me, it was the excitement of football games 🏈 The stadium seemed huge and the possibilities seemed endless 😂 those Friday nights will live forever in my memories. Class of 2004 here 🙋🏻‍♀️
I decided to cheer one year and while I loved it, I also broke my hand throwing a back handspring (poorly) in front of everyone. Fair to say my cheer career was over after that. Tumbling just wasn’t my thing!

Last night we got to tag along with our good friends to watch their kids under the lights, and it was really fun to see all the kids together having fun.
All the hopes and dreams of those high schoolers just had me feeling so nostalgic!
It’s fun to look back at my younger self and see that she had NO idea how things would really work out for her. But she sure thought she did 😂

🎃 Things I learned this weekend:

1. Disneyland is actually better post-pandemic, and I didn’t think that was possible! A bit more effort to book and yes it’s pricey, but less crowds made it SO much more enjoyable.

2. LA pumpkin patches don’t hold a candle to my Midwestern patch experiences. Sorry California 🤷🏻‍♀️ At least I connected with a goat and we found some epic pumpkins to carve.

3. The Van Gogh immersion experience is rad and a great date day/night! If it’s in your city and you like art, I would recommend it!

4. Pretzels at Disney really are better when they are made in the shape of Mickey’s face. I will ignore my gluten intolerance for one of those pretzels ANY day 😂

I cannot believe it’s the last week of October 😳😳😳 Time is FLYING.
Heading into this Halloween week feeling very ready for the holidays to begin.
