Do you remember what it was like, leaving home?
I left home when I graduated high school in 2004, and I never moved back.
College, medical school, and residency took me across the country and back a few times, so I became used to being away from my family.
It’s funny how as a kid I was so ready to leave ✌🏼✌🏼 but now I’m longing to have more time with them.
I wouldn’t change anything in my past, because it’s led me to my present, but I do wish my family lived closer! Lucky for me, I now have the time to give back and schedule more trips with them, to make up for all the lost time in school and training.
The Majestic’s are HERE and I’m trying to make it as relaxing as possible for them in our new home. I’m talking sit down, don’t do a thing, I’ll bring you a glass of wine and you just enjoy the pool views, relaxing 😍 😍 😍
My parents used to send me care packages, help me with groceries or rent, and when I came home I didn’t lift a finger, I just got to rest and recover from my long days of work and studying.
It’s so fulfilling to finally be able to give back to the parents who made my life so much easier when I was going through those tough times of med school and residency.
Next up on the agenda- learning a few more things about their new iPhones (we gifted them for Christmas so we can FaceTime), a little shopping, and Disneyland tomorrow!!
Have you all noticed how much you appreciate family at this point in life?
Have you moved away for school or a job?
