The big day, your interview (part 1: interview attire)

Monday, October 16, 2017

If you’re wondering what to wear to your professional interview, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Showing up in your finest is a must! But what defines YOUR finest? This is largely subjective, my friends. The most important thing about dressing for this interview day, is that YOU feel good, and you feel like YOURSELF. Within reason of course. 🙂 Let me start by saying that I am not on an admissions committee currently, but I have been part of student admissions committees in the past, and I have participated as a resident interviewer. It’s Fall Ya’ll

Thursday, October 5, 2017

It’s official… fall is among us! Yes, I’m a total basic, fall-lover. I am an early decorator around the home. I LOVE themes and if there is a holiday to decorate for, I am so in! It’s August, which means that many of you out there are starting to write your personal statements for residency or medical school applications. If you are struggling with where to start, don’t fret. Take your time, make a list of points you want to highlight, and tackle the personal statement little by little. This is not something you should finish in one day. The personal statement takes time, reflection, and editing… lots of editing. You should think about having 2-4 editors, of different backgrounds. But…
